Stephanie M. Vargo, MA, has over 30 years experience as a psychotherapist working in the field of chemical dependency and the treatment of trauma. She is a member of the part-time faculty in Psychology in the Department of Humanities and Human Sciences at Point Park University where she has
taught and designed a wide range of courses since 1983.
Stephanie has expertise in existential and phenomenological philosophy/psychology and is trained in clinical hypnosis and the therapy of Milton Erickson, MD. She is a certified Reiki Master and
has extensive training in other psycho-physical approaches.
Over the years, she has supervised and consulted with counselors on their therapeutic work with clients. Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Duquesne University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and English from Ohio University. She has presented papers and workshops nationally and co-founded the Pittsburgh Society for the Study of Dissociation in the 1990’s. She is a member of the Society for Shamanic Practice and the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology. Stephanie is also an acclaimed musician, songwriter and poet.
